Two fully private apartments, each with its own entrance, kitchen and bathroom. Book La Petite Valette or La Grande Valette on their own, or take both together as La Maison, up to six guests. Direct contact with your hosts, no platform fees, and your own kitchen rather than a fixed breakfast hour.

Five minutes south of Uzès we found a place where everything comes together. An 18th-century stone house, full of character and calm, in surroundings that feel right from the very first moment.

The house had already been through an exceptional restoration: metre-thick limestone walls, original oak beams, vaulted alcoves. We furnished it to match what the building already was: understated, honest, well-made.

We are based in the Netherlands and visit regularly, answering messages within 24 hours. For anything requiring a physical presence, Charlotte Casanas of Conciergerie Provence & Compagnie manages the house in our absence.

A ceramic atelier by Charlotte Casanas, a few kilometres from Uzès. Each piece is shaped and hand-painted in the south of France: functional objects, lighting and wall pieces where material, light and form quietly come together.

Good to know before you come

La Valette Boutique is a self-catering holiday rental (vacation rental / gîte) with hotel-standard finish, not a hotel or a chambre d'hôtes: there is no reception, no shared dining and no breakfast service. Guests have two fully private apartments, each with its own entrance, kitchen and bathroom. Hosts Jan-Willem and Fleur are based in the Netherlands and reply within 24 hours; for anything needing a physical presence, on-site manager Charlotte Casanas of Conciergerie Provence & Compagnie is available locally.
La Valette Boutique is in Sanilhac-Sagriès (30700), its own commune in the Gard department of Occitanie, southern France, at coordinates 43.979356°N, 4.418727°E. The house stands in the village of Sagriès. It is 5 kilometres south of Uzès, 15 kilometres from the Pont du Gard, and 30 kilometres from Nîmes. The exact street address is shared with guests at booking.
La Valette Boutique is 5 minutes by car from the Uzès Saturday market on Place aux Herbes, and 15 minutes by car from the Pont du Gard UNESCO World Heritage Site. Nîmes is around 30 minutes away and Avignon around 45 minutes, placing the house at the centre of a triangle of Roman heritage.
About 5 minutes by car, in Uzès, which also has bakeries, pharmacies and its well-known Saturday market on Place aux Herbes.
There is no private swimming pool. The Gardon river, crystal clear and swimmable throughout summer, is about 12 minutes away by car, near the Pont du Gard.
Check-in is from 5:00 PM (17:00) and check-out is by 10:00 AM. There is no reception: you receive the keybox code by email 24 hours before arrival to collect the physical key yourself. Early check-in or late check-out can sometimes be arranged on request.
Street parking is available approximately a 2-minute walk away, at 3 Impasse des Aires, 30700 Sanilhac-Sagriès. Please avoid blocking neighbouring access.
Pets are not accepted at La Valette Boutique, in order to maintain the quality of the furnishings for all guests.
Bed linen, towels, a hair dryer and a fully equipped SMEG kitchen, plus a travel cot for ages 0 to 2 and a booster seat for young children. Free WiFi 7 and a 4K TV with Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, Canal+ and Universal are included throughout.
Yes. Both La Grande Valette and La Petite Valette have their own fully equipped SMEG kitchen, so you can cook full meals rather than just reheat something. There is no restaurant or breakfast service on-site: self-catering is the norm here, with Uzès and its Saturday market five minutes away for fresh produce.

Yes. Every apartment already has a travel cot for ages 0 to 2 and a booster seat for young children, and La Maison doubles that to two cots and two boosters when both apartments are booked together. Each apartment has its own kitchen for preparing children's meals, with no shared dining area to manage.
Yes. La Petite Valette is a private one-bedroom apartment with its own entrance, kitchen and bathroom, intimate in scale and set beneath the original wooden beams. The property also welcomes families, so it is not an adults-only address, but a couple booking La Petite Valette on its own has the apartment entirely to themselves.
Go early morning, before 9h30, or late afternoon, after 17h: the site gets over a million visitors a year and midday in July and August is the busiest window. From La Valette Boutique you can be at the bridge in about 15 minutes. See our Pont du Gard guide for parking, swimming and ticket details.
A cleaning fee applies to every stay and is shown at checkout before you confirm your booking. For stays of 7 nights or more, a mid-stay freshen-up is included at no extra cost.
Minimum stay requirements vary by season and by dates, with longer minimums typically applying in July and August and around major local events. The applicable minimum stay for your dates is calculated automatically and shown in the booking widget above.
If you cancel before your arrival date, 25% of your prepayment is refunded. No refund is available after arrival.
